Bruxism

The main symptoms of bruxism include clenching, grinding or teeth crackingBiting the gums and gums bleeding may also occur. It is very often caused by excessive stress, malocclusion or a temporomandibular joint problem. Its symptoms can be treated with botulinum toxin or tropocollagen. Combination therapy is also ideal but the method of treatment will be selected individually for the level of severity of the problem.

The full result is obtained after about 2 weeks and lasts for about 6 months. After this period, the treatment can be performed again, but no sooner than 3 months after the first injection.

 

The effects after the procedure are individual and depend on many factors, such as age, health, skin condition or environmental and genetic circumstances.

Postoperative recommendations
  • for about 48 hours, avoid excessive facial expressions
  • for about 3-4 hours after the procedure, do not tilt your head or lie down
  • for about 48 hours avoid staying in rooms with very high or low air temperature and high humidity levels
  • for about 14 days avoid heavy exercises
  • immediately after treatment, avoid skin exposure to the sun without adequate SPF protection
  • take care of skin care – use gentle cleansing gels until the wounds heal, it is recommended to exclude strong active ingredients such as acids and retinol from the skin care routine
